Friday Roundup

by David Birrow Birrow.David@MacPhail.org

Here are some things that cropped up this week (in no particular order):

  • Joseph Pisano's article:  iPad apps for encouraging improvisation   Useful ideas for group teaching and partnerships. Highlighted are jazz practice application:  iRealB (I know at least that Josh Cameron and myself use this one) and Impaktor (potentially useful for music therapy clients).
  • Lifehacker reviews Files an application used to manage files on iPad or iPhone.
  • SoundMeter+ is an app that detects if the volume in the room is loud enough to damage your hearing. Potentially useful for Community Partnership teachers and other loud instrument teachers.
  • You know you want one: iPad Stylus Review @ the Verge. Warning: there are many, many choices.

Please add some more in the comments!

Sadly, I have nothing to add, but boy, that Will Richardson article is a good read.
